HELD November 14, 2013


The regular business meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ken-Caryl Art Guild was held on November 14, 2013 at the Rox Bar & Grill, 12684 West Indore Place, Littleton CO.



Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:10 pm.




Steve McCall, Susan Hilberg, Bruce Nall, Michele Sires-DeLorean, Judy Ahlborn.


Others in Attendance:

Ronnie Seagren, Frank Barnitz, Steve Bergej, Susan Hill, and three visiting non-members.


Approval of Minutes

A motion was made by Steve McCall to approve the minutes of the October 10, 2013 board meeting. Minutes were ammended as per requests from Bruce Nall and Susan Hilberg.



Treasurer Susan Hilberg reported our bank balance of $3,968.41. Membership checks received by Bruce Nall were delivered.


Committee Reports



An updated membership directory was sent to the Board by Secretary Michele Sires-DeLorean. Ongoing updates will be made available to the Board from our website.



Pres Steve McCall again solicited interest for a Program Director. Bruce Nall suggested that we contact past presenters and will be following up with Dana Cain. An email from absent Board Member Gail Firmin indicated that Lelija Roy would be our January presenter.



Bruce had informed Guild members via email for Call for Art Submissions and shared several in addition. Barbara Williams updated our membership on the Miner's Alley show via email. Judy Alhborn indicated that Miner's Alley may not continue offering exhibits in 2014, as they will be under new management.


Public Relations

Gail Firmin (not in attendance).



Judy Ahlborn reported that she has updated the website. She also requested that members contact her with any updates to their gallery info.


Art Appreciation

Bruce Nall reviewed info on the reception at the Littleton Museum: Own an Original Exhibition, November 21, 2013 from 5:30-7:30pm, 6028 S. Gallup, Littleton CO 80120. Guild member Steve B.'s work has been accepted at the the show.



Communication/Discussion Items


Bruce reported his attempt at the KCR Town Hall meeting to engage a KCR board member in conversation about supporting the arts in the community as had been done in the past.


Holiday party (December 12) will be at our meeting room at Rox Bar & Grill.


An approximate date for the Tenth Anniversary KCAG party (February 2014) was discussed.



Action Items


Steve McCall will contact Rox to obtain the meeting room for the Holiday party. He will also reserve the room for Jan, Feb and Mar.


Michele Sires-DeLorean will forward files for guild members and Board to Judy Alhborn for uploading to the website.




There being no further items for discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 6:54 pm.
