HELD July 9, 2014

 

The quarterly business meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ken-Caryl Art Guild was held on July 09, 2014 at the Manor House, 1 Manor House Rd, Littleton CO.

 

 

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 5:27 pm.

Susan Hilberg, Bruce Nall, Michele Sires-DeLorean, Judy Ahlborn, Ronnie Seagren

Next Meeting Date

Sept 11, 2014, 6 pm at the Manor House

 

Summary of Highlights

 

The Board discussed ways to encourage participation in the leadership of the Guild (volunteer as Officer/Board member) by offering exhibit benefits

and voted on including in our exhibit policy the following:

 

Current Board members/Officers who had served more than one year will not pay an exhibit fee at 'no-cost' venues (those spaces that do not charge the Guild rent) and do not have reception costs.

 

Fees for other members of the Guild will remain at $5 per entry, with a maximum of $10 for up to four entries.

 

Any 'pay' events will require a budget and plan that is venue specific, rather than trying to fit a one-size for all.

 

Bruce Nall will research a rental venue in Denver/Littleton/Golden for a 2015-2016 show that will offer our members the best exposure, installation space and networking possibilities for our investment.

 

The Board recommended that Arti Gras be postponed until will increase our membership to take on that event.
