Meeting Details:

Board Members in Attendance: Cindy Marshall, Michelle Sires-DeLorean, Judy Ahlborn, Steve Begej

o   The current show at 1101 W. Mineral St. in Littleton will end on Thursday, January 14, and participating artists need to pick up their works on that day from 10:00AM to Noon.  There was reported to be some interest in sales, but non were completed.

o   A Google Gdrive folder containing general images of the hung show and its layout was made available the following shared link:

o   Cindy reported that she will be participating in a two-person show at the same venue titled “Two Friends in a Pandemic” that will run for the next 45 days.

o   After discussion, it was decided that entrants would be limited to high school aged students living in the various Ken Caryl areas (Valley, Ranch, and Plains).  Middle school students were also considered for inclusion, but would require a separate category and judging, and could result in an excessively large and lengthy exhibit.  They will be considered again in the future depending on the experiences and outcome of a more limited and conservative effort with just high school students.

o   The title of the show will be “2021 KCAG Virtual Juried Teen Art Show

o   The entries will be judged (tentative jurors:  Cindy, Bruce, and Judy)

o   All media is acceptable except videography

o   1 - 3 entries (1 image per work).

o   Artwork will not be available for sale

o   No entry fee

§  Contacting art teachers at Chatfield and Dakota Ridge (Would such contact create issues regarding non-Ken Caryl resident students who also attend art classes in these schools???)

§  Event notices in the NextDoor neighborhood bulletin board (Steve Begej)

o   Award ribbons will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (Cindy), along with a spotlight piece regarding these artists in The Life at Ken Caryl newspaper (Michele).
