HELD APRIL 7 & 14, 2016 

Two business meetings of the Board of Directors of the Ken-Caryl Art Guild were held on April 7 & 14, 2016 at Rox Bar & Grill, 12684 W Indore Pl, Littleton CO.  

Call to Order

The April 7th meeting was called to order at 5:45 pm; the meeting on April 14 offered a summary of the prior meeting. 

Approval of Minutes

March minutes were approved online. 

Financial Report

Treasurer Susan Hilberg

Bank balance : February - $2116.98 ; current - $2042.24

Rox meeting room has been reserved for Apr, May and June.

Re: workshops: the Board concluded that the costs of obtaining a venue plus workshop presenter fee may be prohibitive and agreed to look into ready workshops in the area that may be of interest to the group. 

Exhibits (Open Office) 

Pres Steve McCall updated the Board on Roxborough Art Fair, June 4-5 info. MSD requested images from participating artists as soon as possible to be included in the poster due by end of April to Life at KC.  

Special Exhibits (Dir Bruce Nall)

BAC changeout May; Rox exhibit remains until further notice, though any member may remove their artwork if they require.

Other Communications/Discussions 

Board voted to include D'Evelyn High School in the Jeffco Foundation High School Award in 2017. Winner for this year's award will be featured in Life at KC. 

Gail Firmin forwarded email by Harriet Camp of the KCR Community Garden project soliciting the Guild's participation in a garden fundraiser this year. The Board voted to pass on the opportunity, as we are busy with the Roxborough Art Fair in June. 

Larry Perkins announced that he will be partnering with Roxborough Arts Council to offer Kids Bronze this summer, dates forthcoming.
