Peri Charlifu - Speaker for the KCAG September 2018 Meeting

Potter Peri Charlifu presented the first of his three marketing workshops this past January, and he returned in September with a second installment, titled “Establishing and Maintaining a Workflow.” Peri has 36 years of experience producing and marketing his pottery. Summer Art Show and Sale

We had a nice turnout and display of art for our first annual Summer Art Show and Sale that was held at the Ranch House on Saturday, August 25th, from 6 to 9 pm. A nice time was had by all, and it was a great opportunity to see each other's current work and socialize. Thanks to Cindy Marshall for all of her hard work organizing this event and to those who displayed their art.


Peggy Stenmark - Speaker for the KCAG June 2018 Meeting

Peggy Stenmark gave a presentation on watercolor and ink resist artworks. She shared how value, color, and composition help make a successful painting.

KCAG Congratulations!

Stefan Begej's photograph, Hiding in Plain Sight, was given a Winner Award in the Wildlife Category of the 2018 KCR Nature Photography Contest held at Dakota Lodge. The photography was of a Poor-Will encountered on top of the Lyons Hogback in the Ken Caryl open space.

Cindy Marshall has pieces in two shows that are part of the Denver's "Month of Print" event held in March.  Her polymer oil etching Glenorchy, NZ is at the Edge Gallery in Lakewood.  A second piece titled Reunion - an etching mixed with calligraphy - was accepted into an invitation-only show at Open Press in Denver.

In December, 2017, Susie Hellman had three watercolor paintings juried into two shows at the Tubac Center of the Arts in Tubac, Arizona.  Two paintings were shown in the Art Members Exhibit, and one sold.  She is also exhibiting another juried painting entitled Zinc in the current Arizona Aqueous XXII Show. 

Judy Ahlborn - Speaker for the KCAG May 2018 Meeting

KCAG Member, Judy Ahlborn, gave a presentation regarding her unique style of textile art and how she uses technology to design and print her pieces to fabric.

Kathryn Petrov - Speaker for the KCAG April 2018 Meeting

Katherine Petrov gave a presentation regarding her paintings, portraits, and murals using various media, including oil, sculptural filler, acrylic, pastels, and pencil.

KCAG Congratulations!

Kenny Oliva has recently sold four pieces, some at the re-opening of the 'a Borgata' store in the Colorado Mills shopping mall in Lakewood.  A Borgata is a Colorado gift store sells artworks from a variety of independent vendors and artists.

Bruch Nall's sculpture, The Kiss, was juried into the Foothills Art Center 2018 Members' Show.  The exhibition is in the East Gallery and runs from January 19 to April 22, 2018.  The FAC is on 15th Street in Golden. For info about FAC see

The March meeting was followed up with a appetizer potluck, social hour, and show and tell.

KCAG Congratulations!

Stefan Begej was selected to present a solo showing of his artwork series entitled “Fragmentations” at the Commissioner's Choice Exhibit at the Lone Tree Arts Center from January 4 to March 23, 2018.  (See for calendar).  The artist reception was January 20, 2018.

Judith Ahlborn has nine digital/textile artworks on display in the show titled "Into the Woods" at the Phillip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock, CO.  The show displays work by the ten artists in the ExPort Art Group, and will run from Dec 7th, 2017 to Feb 10th, 2018.

KCAG Congratulations!

Cindy Marshall had a piece titled Going South...Broadway accepted to the "Urban Landscape" exhibit at the Core Gallery.  The show started Thursday, Dec 7. The gallery is located on 9th and Santa Fe.

Bruce Nall has two pieces pieces accepted into the 40West Gallery CRASH (Crazy Radical Awesome Show Hanging) titled  Blind Turkey and Microwave Map The exhibition Opened Friday, Dec 1, 2017, and the exhibition dates are December 1 to 30, 2017.

Stefan Begej sold a triptych titled "Exuberance" to the 1stBank Event Center in Broomfield.  It consists of three full-sized (48"W x 46"H)  photographic reproductions of original mixed-media wall sculptures.  The artwork will be on display on the first floor, main concourse, east of the main entrance, and accessible by the public during community functions and events. 

Judy Ahlborn was invited to be a guest artist on The Quilt Show starring Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims. Her episode, 2110, will 'air' online beginning Nov 5th, 2017 at
